I started two great pieces of fantasy media this week, the Delicious In Dungeon anime and the original Dragon’s Dogma. Both have a concern with the things that fill the world beyond just the monsters, and it has me thinking about my dungeon. I’d like to get some more stock in these empty rooms, but I also think I ought to get a lot more specific encounters stocked before I go back and find those connections. Like I discussed in my #dungeon23 retrospective, I need to fight the instinct to finish the dungeon as I go. It’ll be more satisfying to wait till its full and then start drawing connections.

My Take
Room 51: Empty
Room 52: Empty
Room 53: Empty
Room 54: A stark, square shaft leading down into the darkness. Connects to level 4 of the Dungeon (I really like the shape of the room for something like this).
Room 55: An aviary for hulking, non-astral vultures.
