THE NETHER PRISON OF THE ASTRAL VULTURE PT. 5 (#DUNGEON24)

Shorter post today, I’m definitely going to do some smaller ones like this if I truly am going to post on here every single weekday this year. So here we go: five rooms in my ongoing megadungeon for the year!

a large dungeon map on blue grid paper arranged as a central square with additional squares on each corner.

The Rolls

Room 31: Empty

Room 32: 1 Berserker with 300 GP in huge chests, trapped via a falling stone block and hidden behind a loose stone in wall. (+2 on attacks vs men, kobolds, goblins, orcs)

Room 33: Empty

Room 34: Empty

Room 35: 7 Giant rats

My Spin

(I liked the fact that 31 and 32 were separated by a gate, so I bumped the single berserker to 31 as a guard for the gold in 32).

Room 31: A berserker, clad in leather armor. She is sentenced to guard the gold in Room 32 for a year and a day. She has lost track of the days, and nobody else is counting.

Room 32: Several large chests containing 300 GP are hidden behind loose stones in the north wall. Disturbing them causes a collapse of heavy masonry. The masonry above the south door is similarly loose, it will fall on anyone opening it.

Room 33: Three deceased adventurers, long since stripped of valuables.

Room 34: The door in the north is trapped from both sides with a poison needle in the handle.

Room 35: A nest, home to 7 giant rats. The robber in Room 26 keeps them fed to serve as guards for his stash. The rats are afraid of Room 17; they know a fight always follows any rat who enters. The door in the west will drop a rusty metal gate on anyone opening it.
