The Astral Prison of the Nether Vulture Monsters (pt. 1 – Centipedes)

The Nether Prison is nearly complete! I have about 10 more rooms to detail, and I wound up rolling a weirdly high number of “special” rooms in the final few rooms. I’ll get those ironed out over the next few days, but in the mean time I’d like to start fleshing out all the monsters in the dungeon using the Lee Gold method. First up, Centipedes.

  1. Can take control of a creature’s body by clamping onto the base of its spinal cord
  2. A hallucinogenic venom that paralyzes its target with visions of other worlds
  3. Toxic bite that inflames its target in a painful rage, mistaking ally for enemy
  4. These were once human, and they remember what it was to walk on two legs
  5. A head at both ends, splits into two creatures when cut in half. 
  6. Magically, geometrically perfect – exactly 100 legs. Can cast a random magic user spell once
